Hello Everyone!
When I arrived in Pilsen, I didn’t expect to find so much art outside of museums. After one month exploring the city, I started noticing colorful murals on walls and small graffiti pieces hidden in alleys. This made me curious to learn more about the local street art scene.
First Impressions
At first, I thought the art was just random decorations, but the more I walked around, the more I realized that each piece had its own style and message. From small graffiti to large murals, every corner seemed to have a story to tell.
A Walk to DEPO2015
The next day, I visited DEPO2015, an old bus depot turned into a cultural center. The walls were covered with graffiti and paintings made by different artists. Some were funny, others were more serious, with messages about freedom and the environment. It felt like walking through an open-air art gallery.
Street Art Festival
I learned that Pilsen has its own Street Art Festival every year, where artists come from different countries to paint new murals. It’s amazing to see how the city supports creativity and gives artists the freedom to express themselves.
Art in Everyday Life
Street art in Pilsen isn’t just decoration. It brings life to the city and makes each walk more interesting. Even the trams are part of this movement. I saw one decorated with Burger King ads, blending advertising with street art. I’ve started paying more attention to small details on the walls, and now I feel like I’m discovering something new every day.
